Hot tub delivery and installation
A typical delivery costs around £400 but can depend on the area that you live in and other aspects such as the location of the hot tub on your premises. For example if a crane is required you will be expected to bear the expense of the crane hire so it is always best to try and provide us with as much detail as possible, including photographs of the site if this permits.
Typical delivery times range from 7 – 10 days depending on if your item is in stock and if you have made any bespoke alterations or additions to your hot tub. We will always try and keep you informed on the status of your order and give notice of delivery and installation dates.
About access requirements
On the image below, you can see our absolute minimum width and height requirements for each of our main spas. Please check the minimum width against all gates, paths and potential obstacles along your access route. The minimum height requirement should be checked against any overhead obstacles such as guttering, tree branches and gate frames.
NOTE: The minimum width and height shown are slightly bigger than the hot tubs themselves. We have added an extra inch to the width and, where necessary, we have added 8 inches to the height to accommodate the height of the spa dolly we use to move the tubs from van to final site. In short the measurements are more than enough to get your hot tub in place.
If you have access problems you think might be an issue please do give us a call. We are able to move our hot tubs over walls, rough terrain or even over the top of a house if needs must. As long as we are aware of this before the installation we can ensure we are prepared for any event. It is very rare indeed that we are unable to get a hot tub into position.
All electrical requirements are approximate and you should always consult a qualified electrician.
This work must be done PRIOR to us attending any delivery to ensure the smooth installation of your hot tub.
16AMP electrical requirements:
Our 16AMP hot tubs require a dedicated power supply. Your local electrician will need to fit a 4mm 3 core steel wired armoured cable on a 16 amp supply with RCD protection. Local isolation using rotary isolator. The isolator should ideally be 2 metres from the spa with 7 metres of cable in place from the isolator to the site of the spa. (The extra-long ‘tail’ is to ensure perfect positioning of the hot tub)
32AMP electrical requirements:
Our 32AMP hot tubs require a dedicated power supply. Your local electrician will need to fit a 6mm 3 core steel wired armoured cable on a 32 amp supply with RCD protection. Local isolation using rotary isolator. The isolator should ideally be 2 metres from the spa with 7 metres of cable in place from the isolator to the site of the spa. (The extra-long ‘tail’ is to ensure perfect positioning of the hot tub).
Installation of an outdoor waterproof plug socket is normally a 30 minute job and your local electrician will typically charge around £70 for the complete job. A 32AMP dedicated electrical installation will typically cost around £300 and take no more than a couple of hours to complete.
If these electrical requirements mean nothing to you then just pass them over to your electrician and he will know what to do.
We also stock a range of 13AMP plug and play hot tubs for ease of installation. Just ask our team for details.
